Medical Technologist – Full-Time Opportunity

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Medical Technologist to join a highly respected healthcare facility's laboratory team located Central Michigan! What You’ll Do:

• Perform a wide range of lab analyses including chemical, hematologic, serologic, immunohematologic, microscopic, and microbiologic testing

• Process and analyze specimens to aid in diagnosis and treatment

• Operate modern instrumentation and perform manual testing as needed

• Complete STAT tests (CBC, PTT, Protime, cardiac enzymes, etc.) within designated turnaround times

• Accurately report results and maintain quality control documentation

• Troubleshoot lab instrumentation and resolve complex testing issues

• Prepare reagents and maintain lab equipment through preventive maintenance

• Utilize computer systems to manage test orders and results efficiently

• Train new staff and students, and contribute to a culture of learning and improvement

• Support patient safety, confidentiality, and age-specific care standards

• Participate in quality improvement activities and ensure compliance with lab policies and procedures

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related science

• Certification or eligibility through ASCP, AMT, HEW (HHS), or equivalent

• Experience with high-complexity testing and clinical laboratory operations

• Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced environment
