Hospital Laboratory Setting

A leading hospital laboratory in Albany, NY is hiring two Cytotechnologists to join their team. These are full-time, day shift roles offering the opportunity to work in a collaborative clinical setting with a stable weekday schedule.

Position Highlights:

• Two full-time, permanent openings

• Monday–Friday schedule, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Hospital-based laboratory with diverse case exposure

Key Responsibilities:

• Screen and interpret gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens

• Document and report abnormal findings in compliance with lab and regulatory standards

• Collaborate with pathologists and clinicians to support patient diagnosis and care

• Participate in QA/QC processes and continuing education

• Maintain proficiency testing and licensure requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree and completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program

• ASCP (CT) certification required

• New York State Cytotechnologist License (or eligibility) required

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic excellence

• Effective communication and teamwork skills
