Medical Technologist/Technician OR ASCP Certified Technologist OR Lab Generalist

WV - Marlinton, WV - Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
Location: Marlinton, WV (near Buckeye)
Position: Full-Time
Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3-12 hour shifts per week; cross-trained for other shifts)

Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Medical Technologists (MT) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) to join our team. This full-time position offers 3-12 hour shifts per week on days, with the opportunity to be cross-trained for other shifts as needed. Ideal candidates will hold an ASCP certification, with preference for MT certification, but MLT candidates will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform various laboratory tests in hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank.

• Accurately record and report results of laboratory tests.

• Follow all laboratory safety protocols and quality control measures.

• Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.

• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in the lab.

• Participate in staff education, training, and quality improvement initiatives.

• Cross-train for other shifts as necessary, to ensure adequate coverage.

Qualifications:

• ASCP certification required; MT preferred but will consider MLT.

• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is strongly preferred.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Flexibility to work various shifts as required.
