Job Summary:
WellSpan is seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist (Med Tech) to join our team in Gettysburg, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyzing samples to support the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This is a night shift position, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests in various areas including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank.

• Ensure accuracy, quality control, and safety in all lab procedures.

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.

• Record and report test results in a timely and accurate manner.

• Adhere to safety protocols, infection control, and laboratory policies.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving laboratory issues when necessary.

• Participate in quality improvement and staff education programs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field.

• ASCP or equivalent certification required.

• Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
