IN - Gary - MT/MLT (Nights, Weekend and Holiday Rotation)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team in Gary, IN. This is a full-time, night shift position (11:00 pm - 7:30 am) with weekend and holiday rotation. The ideal candidate must have a four-year degree and the ability to work independently while adhering to high standards of accuracy and efficiency in laboratory testing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests across various departments, including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunohematology.

  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance with quality standards.

  • Analyze and interpret test results and communicate findings to the appropriate medical team.

  • Follow proper protocols for sample handling and patient confidentiality.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and quality control standards (CLIA, CAP, etc.).

  • Assist with inventory management and ensure laboratory supplies are stocked appropriately.

  • Participate in weekend and holiday shifts as part of the rotation schedule.

Requirements:

  • A 4-year degree in Medical Technology or a related field.

  • ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).

  • Experience in laboratory testing and troubleshooting preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex data accurately.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule:

  • Shift: 11:00 pm – 7:30 am.

  • Weekend and holiday rotation required.
