Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Technician - Night Shift (3 12s)

Location: Marfa, Western Texas

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team in Marfa, Western Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional looking for a Night Shift schedule, working 3 twelve-hour shifts per week. This role plays a crucial part in the healthcare team, performing lab tests that support the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of laboratory tests, including microbiology, hematology, chemistry, and blood bank.

  • Analyze test results and report findings to physicians and healthcare providers.

  • Ensure accuracy, quality control, and proper maintenance of laboratory equipment.

  • Prepare and process specimens for testing, ensuring correct documentation and handling.

  • Follow safety protocols and infection control procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.

  • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.

  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss test results and support patient care.

  • Participate in laboratory quality improvement efforts and contribute to enhancing lab processes.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) / Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) required.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.

  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting preferred, but not required for entry-level candidates.

  • Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts.

  • Strong knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and safety protocols.

  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with healthcare team members.
