Cytotechnologist - Austin, Texas - CLICK AND APPLY NOW!

Under the direction of the Director of Cytology, the Cytotechnologist will be responsible for the daily technical and stain quality assessment, processing of Thyroid FNA (Fine Needle Aspiration) samples and go to for general technical questions. The Cytotechnologist uses scientific methods to solve problems and works closely with laboratory personnel to ensure patient samples are handled according to Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Permanent and full-time hire.
  • Minimum 1 year as a Cytotechnologist.
  • Bachelor’s degree in clinical lab, physical, or biological science.
  • Meet state licensure requirements, if applicable.
  • Certification is required:Certified as a Medical Technologist, Medical Laboratory Scientist by the American Society of Clinical Pathology or equivalent.
