QC Laboratory Supervisor

NEW Permanent Lab Supervisor - QC Reference Laboratory Queens, NY

• Permanent full time position
• This position is responsible for ensuring the daily function of the Laboratory. This includes scheduling and supervising the staff, supply management, review of daily records, and overall day-to-day functions of the QC/Reference Laboratory.
• Education needed:
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in clinical laboratory technology
  • OR Bachelor's or higher degree from a program with a major in biology, chemistry, or the physical sciences, and an advanced certificate in clinical laboratory technology
  • OR Education and training sufficient to qualify for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist prior to 2009 as specified in NYS-ED Regulation 79-13.4
• Experience needed:
  • If bachelor’s degree with at least four years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience subsequent to qualifying of which at least two years have been spent working in a clinical laboratory having a director at the doctoral level.
  • If master’s degree with at least two years of pertinent clinical laboratory experience subsequent to qualifying of which at least two years have been spent working in a clinical laboratory having a director at the doctoral level.
• Current active NY State License as a Clinical Lab Technologist REQUIRED
• This position is located in the Astoria, Queens area with one of the top blood centers in the world.
• Salary: $123k/year
