Research Technician (NO NYS Lab License Needed)

NEW Permanent Research Technician Opening in Manhattan, New York!

• Permanent full-time position, onsite role NOT remote
• This position provides support toLFKRI research community utilizing analytical flowcytometry and fluorescence activated cell sorting (FACS).
  • Performing daily instrumentation quality control and weekly and monthly cleaning protocols on analytical flow cytometers and Advia2120i hematology system.
  • Training and assisting users on Cellaca PLX cell counter.
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
  • Maintaining and operating BD FACSAria Fusion and BD FACS Symphony S6 cell sorters.
  • Communicate instrument issues to the vendors and help coordinating service calls.

• What is needed
  • Bachelor’s degree in biological science or related field, or higher.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in a research or clinical lab. Experience handling primary samples, tissue culture and using microscopes is required.
  • Minimum 1-year of practical experience with BD Bioscience analytical flow cytometers required.
  • NYS lab license not required for this role.
• Salary range: $55k-$65k/year
