Job Description
NEW Laboratory Manager opening at one of the most reputable reference laboratories in the United States! This laboratory is known to follow rigorous quality standards and process controls to meet state and local regulatory requirements. They are looking to hire a Laboratory Manger to oversee a team of 10 laboratory professionals at their Bay Area laboratory.
Responsibilities include: supervising staff performing basic and advanced test procedures and interpreting complex test results. You would provide complex consultation services to hospitals and assure compliance with safety policies and procedures in the work area. For consideration, applicants MUST have a California State Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) OR Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist. ASCP Certification as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)/ Medical Technologist (MT) OR SBB (Specialist in Blood Bank) preferred. Applicants must have at least 7 years of complex blood banking experience in either a hospital or a reference laboratory environment. Management or Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
