Full-time Laboratory Manager needed at a top facility in Alabama!

Looking for someone with good management and leadership skills. It is a day shift Mon-Fri position. ASCP certification is required. Offering sign on and relocation assistance

Currently seeking a Laboratory Manager to manage and provide direct oversight of lab operations and staff (including core, toxicology, and molecular departments).

Responsibilities include:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a clinical laboratory.
- Plan, prepare, implement, and manage lab budget.
- Manage, plan, and direct the Laboratory Quality Control in collaboration with the QA/QC Manager.
- Resolve technical problems and ensure remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from established policies and procedures.
- Verify the test procedures performed and establish laboratory test performance characteristics, including the precision and accuracy of each test.
- Provide leadership, management, evaluation, and training to employees.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to design and implement programs to improve quality and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Establish and maintain an effective CAPA program with quality control with QA/QC Manager.
- Maintain and monitor laboratory inventory for the lab.
- Collaborate with others as needed.

Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Medical or Clinical Laboratory Science (or equivalent). Master's degree preferred.
- Three to five years of supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
- MT ASCP Certification.
- Demonstrated leadership competencies.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (i.e., Outlook, Teams, Excel).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
