Job Description
NEW Laboratory Director Opening at a facility that prides itself on leading the way in medical innovation and technology and is considered the leading provider of quality healthcare in south central Kentucky! This facility is looking to hire a permanent and full time Laboratory Director!
The Laboratory Director is responsible for the oversight of laboratory functions and personnel, including satellite locations with laboratory services. Responsibilities include overseeing he proficiency program, the quality control program as well as will be responsible for establishing new instrumentation and writing procedures in order to maintain CLIA and State Requirements. This laboratory includes the following departments: Chemistry, Hematology, Immunology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology, Allergy testing, Autoimmune testing, Cepheid, Reference area and Phlebotomy.
For consideration, applicants MUST have his or her BS degree as well as Medical Technologist/MLS Certification through ASCP (or equivalent). In addition, applicants must have at least 5 years of supervisory or management experience ideally within a high complexity laboratory environment.
