Full-time Laboratory Manager needed at a top facility in Maine!

The Laboratory Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the laboratory including the proficiency, competency, safety, quality control, instrument maintenance and validation, testing validation, testing management and other functions of the laboratory's professional and phlebotomy staff. The manager has an appropriate level of knowledge of medical technology and possesses sufficient academic, technical, and clinical skills and knowledge to evaluate, troubleshoot, research, and resolve day-to-day problems which arise, is able to make critical decisions, and handle difficult situations in a professional manner, using resources wisely in consultation with the laboratory director.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate’s or Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Medical Technology or related area of specialty.
* Certification/registration or certification/registry eligible as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician is required.
* Knowledge of the principles, methods, materials, equipment and techniques of medical technology.
* At least 5 years progressive experience as a generalist in a medical laboratory required.
* Supervisory Experience preferred.
* Skill in both verbal and written communication.
