Cytogenetic Technologist in Grand Forks, ND
The technologist will be expected to perform processing of samples submitted for cytogenetics, karyotype analysis and hematological specimens.
• $65 hourly
• Monday - Friday. 7:30 - 4:00
• 13 week contract that will VERY likely extend
• Essential Functions: Receive and sort samples by specimen type for laboratory testing. Must be able to monitor all aspects of sample processing. Accession and label all paperwork, specimen slides, tubes, and jars. Performs microscopic examination on gynecological and non-gynecological specimens, differentiating and identifying all cells on the slides using established cytologic criteria. Prepares a final diagnosis using established cytologic terminology for gynecologic specimens reported as within normal limits.
Requirements:
• Requires 1 year of recent experience
• Cytotechnologist (CT) Certification / American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Certification
• Experience in Biology laboratory techniques
• Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent in education
