Job Description
DirectShifts is Seeking a Medical Assistant to Work in Plano, TX
The Medical Assistant monitors, records, interprets and documents the electrocardiograph tracings of patients on telemetry monitors. This position recognizes and reports arrhythmias to medical or nursing staff.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of medical terminology course preferred
- Completion of cardiac rhythm interpretation course required
- Basic Life Support Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross provider required
- Previous Unit Clerk experience or demonstrated ability in order entry and medical termination required
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with others to ensure quality patient care
- Possess the ability to deal tactfully with physicians, employees, and patients.
