DirectShifts is Seeking a Medical Assistant to Work in Mount Pleasant, TX
Full Time: Certified Medical Assistant
Position Summary
Provides patient care for clinic patients under direct supervision of a registered nurse, physician and/ or practitioner. Functions as primary liaison between patients, staff and provider. Prepares patients for exams. Reports to and departs from work on time and as scheduled. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education/Skills: Minimum of completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Ability to demonstrate current competencies applicable to the position. Knowledge of basic nursing principles and protocols, and policies/procedures related to infection control, environmental safety and patient confidentiality. Knowledge of medical chart reporting/records.
- Licensure: Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants or other certifying organization. Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
- Experience: Minimum of one-year medical assistant experience preferred.
