LifeHealth, a federal government contracting company, is seeking one (1) Healthcare Disability Evaluation Coordinators. The Healthcare Disability Evaluation Coordinator (DEC) performs a variety of administrative activities in support of the healthcare disability examinations and pre-examination questionnaires. Gathers, collects, records, tracks, enters and verifies medical data and information from multiple sources. Reviews and edits reports in software application to ensure accuracy in context, grammar, spelling, and consistency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Act as liaison between claimant, clinic, operations team, and provider
  • Review and assists claimant with pre-examination questionnaires for completeness and enters data into proprietary electronic medical records (EMR) system for provider review
  • Assist with chart preparation to include tagging of medical records; identification of diagnostics and other pertinent medical history information
  • Reviews and edits reports in proprietary software application to ensure accuracy in context, grammar, spelling, and consistency. This will be accomplished through review of computerized worksheets, doctor’s notes, and verifying information through dialogue with physician
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate's degree or higher preferred but not required
  • Prior experience as, an, NRCMA,RMA, EMT, Military Medic, or Hospital Corpsman required or related experience.
  • Current, unrestricted certification/licensure in the State of Colorado as a EMT, Military Medic, or Hospital Corpsman.
  • 1 year of technology driven medical data entry system experience or related computer data entry experience
  • Prior experience working directly with clinical providers a plus
  • Experience in Occupational Medicine clinic, General Medical, Internal Medicine work environment preferred

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • The ability to organize plan and coordinate multiple tasks with a high sense of urgency and follow-through
  • Must be able to problem solve
  • Intermediate knowledge of medical terminology and body systems
  • Knowledge of EMR and MS Office Suite software applications
  • Experienced in data entry with accurate and efficient typing skills
  • High level of detail by the ability to identify mistakes or inconsistencies in medical reports and clinical diagnostic tests
  • Ability to work both in a team environment as well as independently
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding of applicable policies and procedures.
