Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) job in Bethesda, Maryland.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Job Overview:

  • Women's Health Setting
  • Assesses individual and community needs for health education.
  • Plan health education strategies, interventions, and programs.
  • Develop and implement education strategies, interventions, and programs.
  • Conduct evaluation and research related to health education.
  • Administer health education strategies, interventions, and programs.
  • Serve as a health education resource person.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and receiving request for consultations and laboratory work of specific patients.
  • Ensure compliance with standard of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment MTF and IAW JC guidelines. Provides care within ethical and legal boundaries.
  • Complete orientation and competency verification programs in accordance with unit guideline.
  • When assigned, will serve and participate in committees, functions and other meetings. Provide relevant and timely information, and assists with decision-making and process improvement.
  • Will report to the Director of Nursing Services.
  • As required, participate in customer service initiatives and medical readiness activities, designed to enhance health services.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Job Qualifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) by American Heart Association or American Red Cross equivalent of CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • US Citizenship
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program, or military training as a medic, corpsman, or medical technician.
  • One year experience within the last three years as a CMA
  • Certification: Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or Current registration by the American Medical Technologists.
