Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist patients in preparing for exam
- Use EMR to enter medical histories and prescriptions
- Assist physicians during patient procedures and surgeries
- Prepare and collect path / lab specimens
- Efficiently document all medical instructions given to patients
- May be asked to work at other locations as needed
- Work with patients both in the office and on the phone to educate them and to respond to questions
Qualifications
- 2+ years’ experience in a doctor’s office as a Medical Assistant
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior dermatology office experience preferred, but not required
