Job Description
We are looking for enthusiastic and hard-working Certified Medical Assistants to work in the Medical Department at the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Stroudsburg, PA. Currently we have full-time opening working on 2nd or 3rd shift.
Job Responsibilities:
The Medical Assistant will be responsible for a variety of daily tasks such as medical records request, administrative reports, Continuity of Care (COC) release, and other medical duties including but not limited to:
- Maintaining examination and treatment areas
- Verification of medications and medical information
- Maintain medication records
- Answer telephone and processing calls
- Maintain filing system and confidentiality of information at all times
- Provide full administrative and clerical support to the medical department at the facility to include typing of various reports, letters and memorandum
- Data Entry
- Scanning documents into the computer
- Assisting with the credentialing process of new hires
- Maintain staff log
- Schedule transports
- Assist with billing
