Full-time Histotechnologist needed at a top facility in southern Florida!

2:00am shift start time. Must be HTL ASCP certified with an active FL license.
This position requires the production of the highest quality of embedding, microtomy, routine H&E stains and other histochemical procedures as requested. The technologist should be responsible to report any inconsistencies of the daily routine work to the Laboratory Director, and be able to function (i.e.; troubleshooting etc.) with minimal supervision. The technologist shall have the ability to work as a team leader, ability to communicate effectively, adapt to a changing work environment, and to assess and develop work tasks and systems in order to optimize lab performance.
Qualifications include:
* Bachelor’s Degree in the field of Laboratory Science or equivalent under the 1988 Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) guidelines of high complexity testing.
* State licensure.
* Certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP).
* 5 years Dermatopathology and or Cytology (non-gyn) experience preferred.
