Our client in the metro-Charlotte, NC area is searching for 2 full-time Histotechnicians or Histotechnologists for their night/early morning shift. The ideal candidate will be ASCP HT or HTL certified but will accept candidates who can obtain certification within 1 year of hire date. This will be a general Histology position with a prominent healthcare organization with ample growth opportunity.

Responsibilities of the Histology Technologist

• Collects tissue specimens for processing
• Performs basic and advanced histology procedures for pathology diagnosis
• Performs staining procedures including special histochemistry and immunochemistry
• Operates and maintains specialized histology equipment and instrumentation

Requirements of the Histology Technologist

• HT/ASCP certification or eligibility required
• High School diploma and completion of an accredited histotechnology program or associates degree
• 1 to 2 years experience preferred but new grads will be considered.
