Seeking a Full-Time Permanent Histotech!
About:
This organization is comprised of board-certified medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatologists that offer a highly personalized approach to treat all skincare needs. They are the choice for skin care in every community the serve. Since this is a Dermatopathology lab, their sole focus is skin health. All of their dermatopathologists are board-certified and many have their own clinical practices to give patients care and perspective that happens outside the lab.
Details:
The histotech will be responsible for obtaining and preparing tissue specimens from body tissues to perform microscopic examination. Tasks will include: performing complex histological procedures and techniques (grossing, cutting, staining, drying, freezing); preparing tissue specimens for routing and special procedures; maintain, clean, and repair equipment and instruments.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, Associate's Degree preferred
- HT/L ASCP Certification or completion of histology training course required
- 2-4 years of experience in the field preferred
