We are recruiting for a Lead Histology Technician opportunity with a hospital laboratory in Mid-Michigan, conveniently situated within the greater Lansing–Flint region.

This opportunity is ideal for a histology professional who enjoys staying involved in hands-on laboratory work while taking on additional responsibilities and helping support the success of the histology department.

Responsibilities

• Perform histology procedures, including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining

• Support daily histology laboratory operations

• Assist with workflow coordination and prioritization

• Serve as a technical resource for other laboratory team members

• Help maintain laboratory quality and regulatory compliance

• Assist with training, troubleshooting, and process improvement as assigned

• Collaborate with laboratory leadership and pathology personnel

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on histology experience

• Proficiency in routine histology procedures

• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to support other team members and contribute to efficient laboratory operations

• Prior lead or supervisory experience is desirable; specific requirements will be confirmed during screening

• HT/HTL certification is a plus; exact credential requirements will be confirmed
