Looking for your next histology leadership opportunity in South Florida? A hospital in the Miami area is looking for an experienced Histology Supervisor to join its laboratory team.
Position Highlights
- Histology laboratory leadership position
- Lead daily laboratory operations and staff
- Oversee accurate and timely laboratory analyses
- Coordinate workflow between shifts
- Manage quality assurance and improvement initiatives
- Oversee scheduling, performance evaluations, and competency checks
- Support hiring and other employee leadership responsibilities
- Work with histology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) processes and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- Associate of Science degree in Histology required
- Bachelor’s degree in Histology preferred
- Current and valid Florida Clinical Laboratory Histology Supervisor license
- 5+ years of histology and immunohistochemistry (IHC) experience
- Experience with IHC validations
- Strong knowledge of CAP requirements
- Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and PC applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Previous leadership experience and ability to effectively manage laboratory staff
