Job Description
Looking for your next histology leadership opportunity in South Florida? A hospital in the Miami area is looking for an experienced Lead Histotechnologist to join its laboratory team.
Position Highlights
- Lead Histotechnologist position
- Provide day-to-day supervision of laboratory operations
- Oversee specimen preparation, cutting, staining, and special testing
- Coordinate workflow to maintain quality, productivity, and turnaround-time goals
- Monitor specimen handling and identification
- Work closely with pathologists regarding slide and stain quality
- Identify instrument or procedural issues and implement corrective actions
- Help coordinate workload and laboratory coverage
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of laboratory and supervisory experience
- Clinical Laboratory Technologist license
- Clinical Laboratory Supervisor license
- Strong histology laboratory experience
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to oversee workflow, quality, and laboratory operations
- ASCP certification preferred
