We are seeking an experienced Histotechnologist / Histology Technician for a full-time opportunity with a growing life sciences organization in the East Bay area of California.

This is an excellent opportunity for a histology professional interested in bringing their technical expertise into a life sciences, biotechnology, research, or CRO environment. The position offers a consistent day shift schedule and competitive compensation of approximately $100,000 annually.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized histology procedures in a life sciences laboratory environment
• Process, embed, section, and stain tissue specimens
• Perform microtomy and prepare high-quality tissue sections
• Perform routine and special staining procedures
• Support tissue-based research and laboratory projects
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records
• Follow established SOPs and quality standards
• Assist with troubleshooting and optimization of histology procedures
• Collaborate with scientists and other laboratory team members

Qualifications

• Previous hands-on histology laboratory experience
• Strong experience with tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative laboratory team
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a CRO, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, research, or life sciences laboratory
• Experience with special stains and advanced histology techniques
• HT or HTL certification is a plus, but not required
