Histotechnician
Looking for a new laboratory opportunity?
A hospital in Georgia is seeking a Histotechnician to join its pathology team.
Position Highlights
- Direct-hire opportunity
- Prepare, embed, cut, and stain surgical and autopsy specimens
- Perform routine and special stains
- Prepare slides for immunoperoxidase staining
- Process frozen sections
- Assist with renal biopsies and gross pathology procedures
- Participate in QA/QC, continuing education, and laboratory safety
- Maintain equipment, supplies, specimens, slides, and blocks
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma/GED required
- Completion of an approved histological technique program or equivalent
- ASCP HT certification required or eligibility to obtain
- Must obtain certification within 6 months of hire
- Strong attention to detail and sound judgment
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment
- Flexible to work alternate shifts as departmental needs require
