NEW Histotechnologist / Histotechnician Opening (1st and 2nd Shift Open)

NEW Histotechnician (HT) Opening in Western South Carolina – 1st and 2nd Shift

This role includes performing embedding, microtomy, special stains, and IHC procedures as directed.

Essential Functions:

• Embed and section all types of tissue using paraffin techniques

• Follow established protocols for embedding and microtomy

• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and proper quality control

• Prepare and maintain fresh solutions, stains, and reagents

• Perform special stains and IHC procedures as assigned

• Assist with case assembly, block and slide filing, and distribution

• Handle and dispose of hazardous waste properly

• Support department QA programs and documentation

• Follow all laboratory safety, compliance, and confidentiality requirements

Education and Licensure:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Completion of on-the-job or formal histology training required

• Continuing education as required for certification

Experience:

• Minimum of one year experience in a histology lab, including microtomy and/or embedding

Shifts Available: 1st and 2nd shift full-time positions
