Histotechnologist (HT/HTL) – Keizer, OR
Location: Keizer, OR
Status: Full time, benefit eligible (medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, 401(k) matching)
Schedule: Day shift, no weekends
Compensation:
-
HT (ASCP): $25–$35/hour
-
HTL (ASCP): $30–$37/hour
Pay is based on experience, certification, and shift.
About the Role
This position involves preparing high-quality histology slides for use in surgical pathology and diagnostic decision-making. You'll be part of a fast-paced laboratory environment serving multiple clinics and healthcare providers in the Keizer area.
What You’ll Do

Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and prepare slides for routine H&E and special stains

Conduct manual and automated staining and coverslipping
-
Troubleshoot processing issues and document preventative maintenance
-
Maintain strict quality control and follow all safety and regulatory protocols
-
Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment
-
Promote safety, compliance, and accuracy within a CAP/COLA-regulated environment
What We’re Looking For
-
Graduation from an accredited CAHEA/NAACLS histotechnology program
-
HT or HTL (ASCP) certification, or eligibility to obtain it within 90 days
-
At least 1 year of histology or high-complexity laboratory experience
-
Ability to read and follow SOPs, maintain records, and troubleshoot lab equipment
-
Proficiency in routine histology processes including embedding and staining
Preferred: Experience with special stains or immunohistochemistry
