Histotech Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Histotech to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in preparing and processing tissue samples for microscopic examination.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and complex histologic procedures on a variety of tissue samples
- Embed tissue specimens in paraffin or other supporting materials
- Operate and maintain histology equipment and instruments
- Prepare stains and dyes to enhance visibility under the microscope
- Assist pathologists and other medical professionals in diagnosing diseases
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL)
- Experience working in a histology laboratory
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
