Tuesday – Saturday, 12:00 PM – 8:30 PM

About the Role

As a Histotechnician, you'll play a key part in the day-to-day preparation of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue samples. Working under general supervision, you'll perform a wide range of histologic techniques, including microtomy, embedding, staining, and slide preparation, to ensure timely and high-quality outputs that meet laboratory standards.

In addition to your technical duties, you'll support ongoing workflow optimization, quality assurance efforts, and cross-functional collaboration with laboratory operations, pathology, and pre-analytical teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic evaluation, including embedding, cutting, H&E staining, and slide mounting

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of specimen accessioning and related data entry

  • Perform reagent preparation and monitor usage of histology-specific supplies

  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control programs; document and escalate discrepancies as needed

  • Maintain, clean, and perform minor troubleshooting on laboratory instrumentation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine workflows and uphold compliance with regulatory standards

  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) with a focus on precision, safety, and efficiency
