Job Summary
We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as Certified Histological Technician. You will perform a full range of services as assigned under the general supervision of the Supervisor, Assistant Director, the Director of Services, Director of Pathology, and the Lab Administrator.
Job Description
Performs histologic techniques:
- Perform specimen collection
- Assist in slide preparation of frozen sections by use of cryostat staining & cover slipping.
- Cutting embedded blocks & create stain glass slides.
- Process biopsy specimens
- Create cassettes and describe specimens on tissue templates.
- Performs other related duties
Skills Required
- 1-year Histological Technician experience.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Valid certification as a Histologic Technician issued by NYSED, Primary Source Verification required.
- BLS preferred.
Pay Rate
- $50.00 per hour
