Histology Technicians are needed for an established GI Pathology Laboratory in beautiful Sarasota Florida area. Leading Gastroenterology group is expanding and looking for strong individuals to join their team. Permanent and temporary positions available!
Schedule: Mon - Fri. Various shifts are available: Priority is to fill evening and nights (2PM-11PM)and (10pm -6:30am)
Position overview: A large part of your work day will be IHC (gastric, small intestine, large intestine, esophagus). Embedding/ cutting of small biopsies with precision. Embedding, cutting, staining (95% automated) and IHC on various platforms. No frozen with limited grossing.
Ideal Candidates:
- Must have ASCP HT/ HLT certification and Florida Histology License.
- Must have some knowledge of GI Pathology process and be able to be able to do embedding, cutting of small biopsies with precision.
- Must be able to do embedding, cutting, staining (95% automated), strong IHC on various platforms. No frozen. Some grossing.
- Must have strong knowledge of specimen processing - prepare slides for pathologists, operate computerized laboratory equipment.
