What they’re looking for:
• Associates Degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to proficiency of maintenance and repair of clinical equipment within a healthcare environment.
• 1 year experience in electronic, mechanical, or electro-mechanical repair in either a school or on-the-job setting(Actual classroom time may count toward this requirement.)
Hours and compensation potential:
• The position is full-time, days shift.
• The range is between for $22.00hr - $30.50hr depending on experience.
• The facility offers a full benefit package and some help with relocation.
What you’ll be doing:
• Under supervision of the Biomed Department Manager/BMET Supervisor and other senior technicians, inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate all types of basic clinical equipment, devices, system, and instruments,
interacting on a routine basis with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solution development.
• The BMET I will work toward status of a BMET II by attaining ability to independently complete all assigned tasks and acquire competency on a broader range of more sophisticated clinical devices and systems.
Additional info:
• Work in a department of 6 including the Biomed Manager.
• Familiarity with LAN/WAN concepts required
