TITLE: Biomedical Equipment Tech
LOCATION: Dresden, Ohio

If so, an opportunity to work with an integrated health care system based in east central Ohio is looking for someone to join their team.
The system is a not-for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.
The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center.
It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and
comprehensive cancer services.

Summary:
Under moderate supervision of the Department Manager/BMET Supervisor and other senior technicians, inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate all types of basic clinical equipment, devices, system, and instruments. Interact on a routine basis with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems and solution development. A BMET possesses the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a broad range of clinical inventory devices. Participates in and conducts on-the-job training programs regarding technical, administrative, and customer service requirements. The BMET will work toward status of to the next level of BMET by attaining significant proficiency on sophisticated clinical devices and systems, ability to train and mentor junior technicians, and develop supervisory and administrative skills leading toward leadership positions.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or other technical discipline contributing to proficiency of maintenance and repair of clinical equipment within a healthcare environment.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement.
Would like someone with 1 year of experience.
LOOKING for someone with Customer Service Skills, Communication Skills and Quality Skills.
Considerable knowledge of electronic, electrical, mechanical and pneumatic principles.
Additional Info:
Position will report to the BioMed Manager and be a part of a multi-campus team.
Hours are 7:00am-3:30pm.
Familiarity with LAN/WAN concepts required.
Would like to cross train in the Networking/IT side so an opportunity to gain other experience inside of Biomed.
The hospital will offer an hourly range between 46K-63K depending on experience and a great benefit package.
