We are seeking an experienced Blood Bank Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist for a permanent opportunity with a specialized blood bank laboratory in Tucson, Arizona.

This is an excellent opportunity for an MLS/MT who enjoys blood banking and wants to work in a highly specialized laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex blood bank and immunohematology testing
• Perform antibody screening and identification
• Conduct compatibility testing and other pre-transfusion testing
• Investigate serologic discrepancies and complex cases
• Perform testing according to established laboratory procedures and quality standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records
• Participate in quality control and regulatory compliance activities
• Collaborate with other blood bank and laboratory professionals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
• MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), or equivalent certification
• Previous blood bank experience strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of immunohematology and transfusion medicine
• Ability to work a permanent evening shift
