Schedule: 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

We are seeking an experienced Blood Bank Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist for a permanent weekend opportunity with a specialized blood bank laboratory in Tucson, Arizona.

This position offers 12-hour weekend shifts from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM, making it an excellent opportunity for a blood bank professional who prefers a concentrated weekend schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized blood bank and immunohematology testing
• Perform antibody screening and identification
• Conduct compatibility and pre-transfusion testing
• Investigate complex antibodies and serologic discrepancies
• Follow established laboratory procedures, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate testing records and documentation
• Perform quality control procedures
• Work closely with other experienced blood bank professionals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field
• MLS(ASCP), MT(ASCP), or equivalent certification
• Previous blood bank experience strongly preferred
• Strong immunohematology and transfusion medicine knowledge
• Ability to work 12-hour weekend shifts from 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
