Cytogenetic Technologist (Full-Time)
We’re hiring a skilled Cytogenetic Technologist to join a high-performing lab team. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone experienced in karyotyping and FISH analysis in a fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
Sun: 8:00am–5:30pm | Mon–Wed: 10:30am–9:00pm
Rotating holidays
Comp & Perks:
- Pay: $33–$45/hr
- $5,000 sign-on bonus ($2,500 at 90 days + $2,500 at 1 year)
- $4,000 relocation (within 45 days)
What You’ll Do:
- Perform specimen setup, culturing (blood, bone marrow, biopsy), and harvesting
- Prepare and stain slides (G-, Q-, R-, C-banding, NOR)
- Conduct microscopic analysis, karyotyping, and FISH testing
- Ensure specimen integrity throughout processing
- Operate automated karyotyping systems and document results
- Maintain QC (incubators, CO , liquid nitrogen, etc.)
- Support validation studies, training, and process improvements
- Utilize LIS and maintain accurate records
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or related field
- CG (ASCP) required
- Clinical experience in chromosome analysis (blood and/or bone marrow)
- Experience with FISH analysis and cytogenetics wet bench setup preferred
