Your Role

• Supervise Cytotechnologists, assign workloads, and develop staff schedules

• Perform and oversee screening of gynecological and non-gynecological cytology cases

• Assist physicians with fine needle aspiration procedures and specimen collection

• Review and present cases with unusual cytomorphology to the Pathologist

• Maintain regulatory compliance with CAP and NYSDOH requirements

• Prepare and manage quality assurance and quality control reports

• Write, revise, and maintain cytology SOPs and departmental records

• Participate in hiring, competency assessments, performance appraisals, and staff development

• Manage supplies, inventory, and equipment maintenance

• Collaborate regularly with laboratory and administrative leadership
