Are you passionate about genetics and precision lab work? Seeking a Cytogenetic Technologist to join a dynamic, fast-paced laboratory team dedicated to delivering high-quality diagnostic services. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to apply advanced cytogenetic techniques in a collaborative environment focused on innovation and patient care.

What You'll Do

• Perform sample setup, culturing (blood, bone marrow, and biopsy), harvesting, slide preparation, and various staining techniques (Giemsa, Q-, R-, C-banding, NOR).

• Conduct detailed microscopic analysis and karyotyping using automated systems.

• Carry out Fluorescence In Situ Hybridization (FISH) processing and analysis.

• Ensure specimen integrity throughout all phases of processing.

• Maintain laboratory equipment and monitor environmental controls (CO levels, liquid nitrogen, hoods, etc.).

• Document procedures accurately and assist in the training of new lab personnel.

• Participate in quality control, new test validation, and research initiatives.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science field.

• Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technologist in Cytogenetics (ASCP or equivalent) is required.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze complex chromosomal patterns.

• Comfortable working with biohazardous materials and standing or sitting for extended periods.

• Excellent organizational and data management skills, including LIS proficiency.

• Willingness to stay current on developments in cytogenetics and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
