Responsibilities of the CT Scan Technologist:
- Prepares and positions patients for CT of various parts of the body and includes setting up equipment and patient in relation to each other to provide the best demonstration of the body part under study.
- Evaluates results of scanning procedure for quality of results and completeness, and manipulate control to display image to a physician.
- Responds to patients’ physical and psychological needs.
- Maintains accurate and complete records relative to the procedure performed.
Requirements for the CT Scan Technologist:
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology
- License MA Rad Tech-Computed Tomography required
- ARRT registered
- BLS required
- 1-3 years of experience required
