Are you a skilled and compassionate Dietician seeking a meaningful career with a sense of purpose? The United States Air Force is actively seeking dedicated Dieticians to join our esteemed healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Assess nutritional needs and develop personalized diet plans for military members.
- Provide nutrition education and counseling to promote healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with medical professionals to support patients with dietary restrictions or health conditions.
- Contribute to the development of nutrition programs that enhance mission readiness.
- Stay informed on the latest nutritional research and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a minimum of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and completion of a didactic program in dietetics approved by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
- This must be followed by successful completion of one of the following AND accredited supervised practice programs: dietetic internship with generalist (or military) emphasis or coordinated program in dietetics with generalist emphasis, and successful completion of the registration examination for dietitians, resulting in status as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
- Preferred fitness advocate and experience with sports nutrition.
- Dietitian in good standing by Commission on Dietetic Registration. Having completed the Certified Specialist Sport Dietetics (CSSD) certification is preferred with a further study in sport science.
