Matrix Providers is hiring a Registered Dietitian to join our team of talented professionals who provide health care services to our Military Service Members and their families at the the 460th Medical Group located at Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, CO. Must have experience in Sports Dietetics.

  • Role: Registered Dietician
  • Compensation: $42/hour, plus $5,000 Sign On Bonus
  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours per week)

Requirements: The Registered Dietitian must have and meet the following:

Degree/Education: Bachelor's degree. Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) or completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) accredited by the ACEND, or completion of a post- Baccalaureate degree Dietetic Internship Program of supervised practice (for a minimum of 1200 hours) accredited by ACEND. In addition, the HCW shall also complete the online Air Force Health Promotion (HP) Orientation within six (6) months of hire/placement and attend the in-residence Air Force HP Workshop within 18 months of hire/placement.
Certifications: Basic Life Support Certification from either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience in wellness, diet therapy, sports nutrition or nutrition education. As well as having specific experience interpreting body composition and resting metabolic function data to use in diet therapy.
Board Certification: Shall be board eligible Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics by the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
Licensure/Registration: Current, full, active, and unrestricted dietetics license or certification. Possess current registration as a Registered Dietitian from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Job Duties: The Registered Dietitian will be providing care under the Health-to-Health (H2H) Registered Dietitian program to include but are not limited to the following:

• Plan and organize work of considerable difficulty and responsibility under minimal supervision.
• Participate in research and performance improvement studies.
• Conduct nutrition assessment/evaluation which includes nutrient intake, activity level, appetite, intake of vitamins, minerals, nutritional supplements, and other complimentary alternative medicine usage, weight history, taste changes, feeding problems, food intolerance, food-drug interactions, unhealthy diet behaviors, socioeconomic and ethnic background, documented medical history, current diagnoses and medical treatment modalities, current drug therapy, and clinical signs and symptoms of nutritional deficiencies.
• Apply the basic principles of enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
• Apply principles and practices of clinical dietetics and medical nutrition therapy in order to plan, develop, and independently coordinate medical nutrition therapy intervention, interdisciplinary care plans, and nutrition education activities.
• Conduct studies, analysis, and document findings to evaluate staff, food, nutrition supplements/feeding or meal alternatives and therapies, supplies, equipment, and service in order to improve the efficiency of the operation.
• Apply current food service systems management, principles, and practices within a healthcare environment.

• Conduct annual installation Military Nutrition Environment Assessment Tool (M-NEAT) as direct by Air Force Medical Operation Association (AFMOA).
• Chair Nutrition Environment and Operation Supplement Safety Working Groups (NEWG/OPSSWG).
• Prepare and provide briefings on the nutritional environment of the installation to members of leadership up to, and including, the installation commander.
• Develop nutrition interventions in collaboration with units that request unit-specific services.
