Job Responsibilities for the Registered Dietitian:
- Demonstrates and applies an in-depth knowledge of dietetics principles, practices, standards and scope in accordance with corporate and departmental policies and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics/Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Provides nutritional assessment, intervention and education for inpatient and outpatient populations based on clinical standards.
- Prepares and maintains written and electronic documentation as specified in Policy & Procedures.
- Develops, implements and re-evaluates treatment plans in coordination with the healthcare team as indicated.
- Demonstrates teamwork through flexibility in coverage and schedules.
- Provides Medical Nutrition Therapy to all populations that are referred and scheduled.
- Teaches Medical Nutrition Therapy portion of Diabetes Self-Management Training classes.
- Creates and presents community and in-house education as appropriate.
Requirements of the Dietitian:
- 2+ years of experience in the acute or ambulatory setting.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) and Oregon licensure within 30 days of hire.
