Seeking experienced Cardiac Sonographer

This is a permanent and full-time job opportunity.


Our programs target the full range of conditions related to the heart and vascular system, including congestive heart failure, hypertension (high blood pressure), arteriosclerosis (narrowing or hardening of the arteries), peripheral vascular disease, and more. We offer comprehensive cardiovascular services aimed at preventing, diagnosing, treating, and recovering from cardiovascular disease. Our team of experts includes board-certified cardiologists, board-certified cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons, nurses with cardiovascular expertise, exercise physiologists, and cardiac rehabilitation specialists.

POSITION SUMMARY

  • The cardiac/vascular sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment, and for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography
  • The sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease and new procedures as they evolve
  • Will be cross trained into pediatric echo and vascular ultrasound if no formal education has been completed
  • Utilizes tele-radiology equipment as needed
  • Utilizes hospital information system and radiology information system as required for charges and proper patient status
  • Full-time with Varying shifts with even rotation with Co-workers

Tests and Procedures performed for Diagnosing Cardiac Disorders

  • Stress testing, including Cardiolyte
  • Heart imaging
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG)
  • Holter monitoring
  • Echocardiogram
  • Angiogram, including renal (kidneys) and abdominal aorta
  • King of Hearts / 24-hour monitoring
  • Tilt table

Licenses and Certifications Required

  • RDCS, CCI, or ARRT(S) registered
  • NDMIRTBE licensed
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare provider BLS required within 30 days of hire
  • RDCS (AE) or RDCS (PE)
  • RVT optional
