Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Technologist - Echo Sonographer - (Cardiac - Echo - Sonography - Sono)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $1750.00 - 2050.00

1 year prior Cardiac experience. Pediatric experience required. Traveler must have permanent address outside 50 mile radius of Madison. Prior traveling experience preferred. 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only). Completion of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CHAAHEP) approved ultrasound program, Associate Degree in Biological Sciences, Radiology, Ultrasound, or relevant health sciences field. Registered in echocardiography (RCS or RDCS). Basic Life Support/CPR

Required Qualifications

We are seeking a Peds Cardiovascular Sonographer to:

Perform professional level assessments and a variety of non-invasive studies using ultrasound and related diagnostic technology. The sonographer will encounter difficult problems related to examination evaluations daily and must resolve them with limited supervision.
Conduct examinations in a variety of settings using both stationary and portable equipment; predominately working in the Pediatric Cardiology Clinic.
Assist with intraoperative transesophageal, echo, and exercise stress echo examinations. Preliminary impressions of examination results are relayed to American Family Children’s Hospital cardiologists.
Serve as a clinical instructor for the UW School of Ultrasound, and participate in the instruction of fellows, residents, and visiting physicians.

Preferred Qualifications
Prefer prior travel experience.
