Registered Vascular Sonographer - (Sonography - Sono)
StartDate: 04/08/2019Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $41.00 - 46.00

START DATE: 4/8/2019 for 13 weeks. SHIFT: 9:30am - 6:30pm. REQUIRED SKILLS: Must have Echo & Vascular experience. MUST HAVE 2+ REFERENCES IN THE LAST 2 YEARS OF EMPLOYMENT IN PROFILE IN ORDER TO BE SUBMITTED. The Echo Tech performs M-mode, 2-D, Doppler, and Color Flow Echocardiograms,Transesophageal Echocardiograms and Stress Echocardiograms and both adult and pediatric patient populations in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Vascular case types: Duplex studies, Carotid studies, arterial Doppler, vein mapping, ABI, ABI with exercise, fistulas. Associate Degree preferred. Certification from appropriate Cardiac Technology or Echocardiography program required. Graduate of an accredited program for Echocardiography and registered w/ARDMS or CCI. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES o Responsible for proficiently performing all M-Mode, 2-D, Doppler, Color Flow, Transesophageal studies and Stress echocardiography on both inpatients and outpatients. Will provide diagnostic testing to pediatric patients, infants, and neonates in accordance with training. Explains the procedure, purpose, and the patient's role in obtaining reliable results. Communicates with Cardiologist regarding findings of studies and notifies them of significant findings as needed. Preps patient for Stress Tests when needed. Orients new personnel as needed. Reviews and performs monthly Quality Assurance studies. Identifies opportunities for improvement and takes action accordingly. Keeps all equipment clean, properly stored and in proper working order. Keeps echo schedule log book up to date. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Registered Echo Tech who also does Vascular (Vascular does not need to be registered).
MUST HAVE 2+ REFERENCES FOR LAST 2 YEARS OF EMPLOYMENT IN PROFILE IN ORDER TO BE SUBMITTED
