Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist to join a growing healthcare team near Meadows Place, TX.

The Mammography Technologist will operate X-ray equipment and perform a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. This role requires a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and exposure technique, along with a strong commitment to patient care and image quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures according to established protocols.

  • Operate mammography and X-ray equipment safely and effectively.

  • Accurately position patients and obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

  • Select appropriate exposure techniques to ensure optimal image quality while minimizing radiation exposure.

  • Explain procedures to patients and provide compassionate, professional care throughout the examination.

  • Verify patient information and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Follow radiation safety, infection control, and departmental policies.

  • Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment issues as appropriate.

  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

  • Maintain compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

  • Ensure patient privacy, safety, and comfort throughout the imaging process.

Qualifications

  • College degree required.

  • ARRT certification required.

  • Prior mammography experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of mammography procedures, positioning, and exposure techniques.

  • Excellent attention to detail and technical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative healthcare team.
