NEW Lead Ultrasound Technologist Opportunity – Full-Time Days | Northern Vermont
A healthcare facility in northern Vermont is seeking a Lead Ultrasound Technologist to join its Diagnostic Imaging team. This is a full-time role (80 hours bi-weekly) with hours generally 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM, occasional weekends (no more than one per month), and rotating holiday on-call coverage.
Responsibilities:

Operate imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic studies

Adapt procedures to meet individual patient and provider needs

Apply radiation safety measures and quality standards
-
Perform studies in multiple settings and provide age-specific care
-
Complete timely clinical documentation and maintain patient confidentiality
-
Coordinate workflow, assist with staff competency and training, and support process improvements
-
Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and quality standards
-
Participate in departmental initiatives, performance improvement, and continuing education
Qualifications:
-
Graduate of an accredited school of radiography or advanced imaging

Active certification in the respective modality
-
Current BLS certification
-
Strong technical, leadership, and critical-thinking skills
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities and mentor staff
Work Environment:
-
Physical demands include lifting, standing, walking, and occasional bending/pulling
-
Exposure to electrical, mechanical, and radiant energy hazards, and bloodborne pathogens

Adherence to PPE and safety protocols
